Research

Groups

BLU is a joint initiative of  research groups of the ULB whose research concerns the field of space, in the broad sense: theoretical cosmology, astrophysics, the composition of planetary atmospheres, Earth observation, microgravity and radio-resistant biological organisms, materials, engines used on launchers and spacecraft, are just a few examples of cutting-edge research carried out within our university.

It aims at assembling, in the form of a large expertise center, the different institutes and research groups and at fostering exchange of ideas and possible collaboration, as well as promoting new ideas emerging at the edges of these disciplines.
