Cyril Tordeur, PhD candidate at ULB – Faculty of Medicine 1st Prize of the Young Investigator Award of the International Society for Gravitational Physiology 2025

Congratulations to Cyril Tordeur, PhD candidate at ULB – Faculty of Medicine, for his international distinction!

Specializing in space physiology and gravitational biology, Cyril studies cardiovascular adaptations to weightlessness using data from the International Space Station, prolonged bed rest studies, and animal models. He notably collaborates with the German Aerospace Center and the DMeM laboratory at the University of Montpellier.

Winner of the 2025 Young Investigator Award from the International Society for Gravitational Physiology, he has been recognized for his work carried out as part of the NEBULA II project, coordinated at ULB by Prof. Laurence Dewachter and supervised during his PhD by Prof. Philippe van de Borne, Jens Tank (DLR), and Vitalie Faoro.

A great example of interdisciplinary and international research serving science and space exploration!
