On December 5th, 2025, the BLU–PandA PhD Day took place at the Université libre de Bruxelles, bringing together PhD students from a wide range of fields, from mathematical and theoretical physics to high-energy physics and astrophysics.
The morning session was dedicated to presentations by each research group, offering an overview of their scientific goals and areas of interest. In the afternoon, starting PhD students presented their individual projects; an ideal opportunity to introduce their research journey and practice scientific communication. For more senior PhD students, the event provided a valuable chance to learn about and stay up to date with the latest research across related fields at ULB.
The day concluded with a team-building activity in the city centre, encouraging connections beyond the academic setting. From new PhD companions to established colleagues, we hope this special day helped strengthen the bonds between junior researchers from different groups at ULB and allowed students to form new friendships along the way.
We warmly thank the Brussels Laboratory of the Universe and the PandA Doctoral School for their support, and we look forward to seeing you again next year!
